Welcome & Announcements
* Call to Worship............................................... Psalm 68:4-6
Leader: Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the LORD; exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
* Hymn of Praise #209......... “Christians, Awake, Salute the Happy Morn”
* Prayer of Adoration
* Affirmation of Our Faith……..…Westminster Larger Catechism, Question 40
Leader: Why was it requisite that the Mediator should be God and man in one person?
All: It was requisite that the Mediator, who was to reconcile God and man, should himself be both God and man, and this in one person, that the proper works of each nature might be accepted of God for us, and relied on by us, as the works of the whole person.1
Hymn of Trust (Choir) ............................. “The Star Carole”
Call to Confession............................................... James 4:7-8
Leader: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, jyou double-minded.
Corporate Prayer of Confession ........................ Psalm 79:8-9
All: Do not remember against us our former iniquities; let your compassion come speedily to meet us, for we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and atone for our sins, for your name’s sake!
Silent Prayers of Confession
* Assurance of God’s Grace.............................. 1 John 4:9-10
Leader: In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
